Terms of Service
Last updated: June 20, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Corta's website and application at trycorta.com(the "Service"), operated by Corta ("Corta," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Corta helps founders discover and understand potential customers by analyzing public conversations on third-party platforms, generating ideal customer profiles, monitoring relevant discussions, and drafting outreach content. Features and limits may vary by plan and may change over time.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@trycorta.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Subscriptions and billing
- Paid plans ("Corta Pro") are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, as selected at checkout).
- Prices, features, and plan limits are described on our website and may change. We will provide notice of material price changes where required by law; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance unless you cancel before renewal.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel through the billing portal or by contacting support. Cancellation stops future charges; access continues through the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated.
- Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started.
4. Free preview and plan limits
Corta may offer a free preview tier with limited features (for example, capped monitoring results, no manual refresh, or no AI draft generation). We may modify free-tier limits at any time. Attempting to circumvent plan limits or access controls is prohibited.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
- Harass, spam, or mislead others using Corta-generated content
- Violate the terms, rules, or policies of third-party platforms (including Reddit and X/Twitter) when posting or messaging
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the Service except through documented APIs we provide
- Attempt to access data or accounts you are not authorized to access
- Use the Service to build a competing product using automated extraction of Corta outputs at scale
You are solely responsible for content you publish or send on third-party platforms, including replies and direct messages drafted with Corta.
6. AI-generated content
Corta uses artificial intelligence to generate summaries, drafts, and recommendations. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your situation. You must review and edit all AI-generated content before use. Corta does not guarantee that outputs will achieve any particular business result.
7. Third-party platforms and services
The Service integrates with third-party platforms and providers (for example, Reddit, X/Twitter, Stripe, Supabase, and AI model providers). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, outages, or policy changes that affect Corta functionality.
8. Intellectual property
Corta and its branding, software, and documentation are owned by Corta and its licensors. You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Corta a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display your content as needed to operate and improve the Service, including running AI workflows on your inputs.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for us or other users, or where required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) will survive.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CORTA AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID CORTA IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.
12. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Corta from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or third-party rights.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
14. Changes
We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post updates on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-product notice. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
